Reclaimed Chestnut
Forests throughout Appalachia were once filled with American Chestnut, but a blight during the early 20th century wiped out billions of these regal trees. Put plainly, this stuff just doesn’t grow anymore, so we feel quite fortunate that we’re able to get our hands on chestnut we salvage from barns across the region.
