The Den at The Accelerator Space
The Accelerator Space inhabits a century-old building that still retains hints of its industrial past: scarred maple flooring and I-beams abound. When architects were reimagining the building as an event space, they wanted to feature material that had a history, but they wanted to avoid the heaviness and “rustic-ness” often associated with salvaged material. Enter our Wire Brushed Doug Fir, which achieves the odd feat of retaining a decades-old patina while still looking quite modern. Natural light, emanating from a large central skylight, plays well off our heavily textured material.
