Lewes Barn
The owners of this newly built barn wanted floors that would lend some character and age to the brand new building. They selected yellow pine planks, in random widths from 6-14″. Milled to a uniform thickness, but with the top surface left mostly raw, these boards create a rich blend of browns, yellows, and oranges that contrast well with the white walls and pale white-pine ceilings. Nail holes, ferrous stains and saw marks attest to the boards’ pedigree.
